Clearwater Florida Photographer’s Paradise

Photography in the Clearwater Florida area is a dream come true. Stunning sunsets, some pretty wild wildlife, nature parks galore and miles of gorgeous beaches are some of the highlights of this photographer’s paradise. For beach family photos, sunset portraits and modelling photography the white sands and warm Gulf of Mexico water from St. Petersburg to Honeymoon Island make for a uniquely fun and relaxed photoshoot experience. Hello and thanks for stopping by. My name is David Nas and I’m excited to introduce you to my work!

Instantaneous, worldwide reach is available to most everyone in this new digital world with photographs and video becoming the fastest growing ways in which we communicate with each other. Creating a visual time capsule to immortalize special life events like a wedding, birth or graduation call for the artistic touch of a professional photographer to help express the sense of heightened emotion you experienced at the time. Also, very often a stylish business portrait for LinkedIn or a knockout modelling photo or headshot can be the catalyst that helps you land a great new job or get the attention of a future client that takes your business and life to the next level.

For over twenty years I’ve been a media professional and have worked for major movie studios and television networks in Los Angeles and New York including Warner Bros, Disney, ABC, Fox and HBO. After thirteen years in NYC and a lot of soul searching I decided to make a change. I stepped out of the safe and stifling comfort of the box I had created for myself, leaving the high rise corporate job, the Upper West Side apartment (with a killer balcony), friends and favorite haunts to begin a new journey pursuing my love of photography. It’s often said that timing is everything and the timing of my exodus from Manhattan was truly an act of God. It was a beautiful autumn day in the city when I waved goodbye to my two best friends, Tony my doorman and Efi the super who helped me pack the UHAUL and then a quick, white knuckle jaunt later I hit the upper level of the George Washington bridge. As I drove that UHAUL van with everything I owned in it over the cold, grey rubicon of the Hudson, I could see my old office building, “The Evil Fortress” – just kidding, it was actually the one hundred and one story skyscraper, 30 Hudson Yards – either way, I knew deep down everything was about to change.

A nice long road trip is a great way to clear your head and a road trip from coast to coast was exactly what I needed. “See some old friends, good for the soul.” I had just started to settle in and reconnect when I got that call you dread. A loved one in the hospital ICU in critical condition. Next stop, Florida. Months passed with only prayer, hospital visits, procedures and finally rehabilitation as the daily reality, but we managed to get through it and by March of 2020 we were out of the woods. And into the fire – welcome to the “new normal.” Worldwide lockdown was pretty far from even my wildest imagination when I left New York at the end of 2019, but I couldn’t have picked a better place to weather the storm – a slice of tropical paradise. Seriously, I had no idea I’d be where I am now. It was an act of God and I feel blessed to be here and to become more a part of the community every day. The beach has been a second home for me since I was a child. From the shores of Lake Erie, to the SoCal strand to here in Clearwater, I’ve always loved sun, sand and surf. Now I’m looking forward to working with other professionals, artists, businesses and the people who want to create memorable imagery that gets family, friends and customers really buzzing!
